Spring Retreat Bliss

Spring at Loon Lake Retreat Centre in Maple Ridge is exquisite! A very beautiful and deeply transformative weekend gathering was held in May with facilitators David Taylor, Jodi Krahn, and Lorie Martin. The retreat theme was BEAUTY REVIVES THE SOUL. We spent much time outside near the water and around the fire. We entered the woods, listened to what the Holy One  was saying to our hearts, and opened to the blessings OF BEAUTY within and all around. Next one:  September 12 - 14 - See the event posted!

Loon Lake awakening

Beautiful body of risen Christ -

in tall straight cedars

womb of lake

cool rain scent

rich savoury food

hopeful faces of sisters and brothers

i clamber along

a mindfulness trail

on hands and knees over steep roots

cold - exhausted                

gobsmacked by beauty

raindrops cling incandescent green

bright fresh fir tips, fecund damp earth,

delicate coiled fiddle-head ferns, thick mosses

ferry back across a depth of storm-blue lake

land back where i am warmed

in sacred circle held

in my silent bed

in love

in the night

the lone call of a loon

i wake up

a new woman

with a new story

one of strength and healing

and endless beautiful gratitude

that spreads like ripples of rain on the lake

now open, i meet You again

in the sharing of bread and wine

with my brothers and sisters - faces radiant,

we are home in our bodies

One with All

beautiful and Yours

having danced with wise Sophia

been kissed by wild spirit

we are eager to share
