Celtic Spirituality and Design

A morning to explore the connections between spirituality and creativity in the Celtic tradition. Share in the gentle rhythms of Celtic prayer, and learn to draw simple Celtic knots. (NB, no artistic experience needed!)

Belinda grew up in the border country of England and Wales; an area of outstanding natural beauty, surrounded by the artistic and spiritual traditions of the Celts and Anglo-Saxons. Fascinated by the intricate patterns of the illuminated manuscripts, and by the artistic expression of spirituality in Celtic and Anglo-Saxon design, Belinda studied at Manchester Polytechnic (formerly the Manchester School of Art), receiving an Honours degree in Design History. Now living in Mission, BC, Belinda pursues a path of artistic and spiritual discovery, producing new designs inspired and informed by her Celtic background. Belinda also has a keen appreciation of the natural world, and loves to capture birds and animals in detailed pencil drawings. She also loves to share her passion for art and teaches both pencil drawing and Celtic art.
